NUFC duo set be hit with one-game ban if they’re booked vs Fulham tonight

There are TWO Newcastle United players who’ll be walking a bit of a tightrope should they feature against Fulham tonight.

That duo is Jamal Lewis and Isaac Hayden, with both just one yellow card away from a one-game ban in the Premier League.

Both have picked up four yellows in the league this season, meaning they’ll be suspended for the Boxing Day trip to Manchester City should either be booked on Saturday night at St James’ Park.

Isaac Hayden picked up his fourth yellow of the season in Wednesday’s 5-2 defeat at Leeds and had a pop at officials after the game, tweeting…”Not quite sure what the rules are anymore, can’t tackle and dare touch the other player?

As for Lewis, he was booked in three of his first four games following a £13.5m move from Norwich, also picking up a caution for his handbags with West Brom’s Darnell Furlong last weekend.

Considering our lack of fit left-backs and the fact Isaac Hayden is arguably our only reliable defensive midfielder, it wouldn’t be ideal if both are missing for the daunting trip to Manchester City!
