Watch Elias Sorensen score 90th minute winner vs PSV as NUFC loanee shines in new role – Video

After disastrous loan spells at Carlisle and Blackpool over the past few seasons, Newcastle United striker Elias Sorensen appears to be finding some form out in Holland.

The 21-year-old is currently playing in the Dutch second tier for Almere City, and scored a 90th minute goal last night in a 2-1 win over PSV’s second string.

He’s actually been playing on the right wing in his last five games and seems to be thriving in the new role, bagging three goals and an assist in that time to send Almere City into the automatic promotion places in 2nd.

Watch his emphatic finish below:

Whether he’ll ever make it on Tyneside is open for debate, but it’s good to see him getting regular game time at senior level AND scoring goals.

His recent stints in the EFL were an absolute disaster, with both Blackpool and Carlisle barely playing him, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens with him once he returns from Holland.
