Ex-NUFC loanee could now join Sam Allardyce at West Brom on a free transfer – TalkSPORT

According to talkSPORT, Sam Allardyce is now looking to bring former Newcastle United loanee Danny Rose to West Brom.

The 30-year-old arrived at St James’ Park on loan 12 months ago, however his underwhelming spell on Tyneside didn’t result in a permanent deal at the end of the season, with us opting for a £13.5m move for Jamal Lewis instead.

Six months on from his return to Spurs, he’s been banished by Jose Mourinho and left playing with their U-23’s – and talkSPORT’s Alex Crook now claims there’s a “big chance” he’ll have his contract terminated by Tottenham this month as a result.

This would leave him available to move on as a free agent this month, and it’s claimed Big Sam is “very keen” to take him at The Hawthorn’s should he be released:

Considering we’re said to be in the market for another option at left-back, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Steve Bruce is credited with an interest in re-signing him if he becomes available on a Bosman.

That said, he’ll demand first-team football, is likely to be on big wages and did little to impress last season, making potential moves for recently linked trio Brandon Williams (loan), Djibril Sidibe and Jetro Willems far more attractive.
