We’re in desperate need of some good news right now, and one sighting that seems certain to bring smiles to the faces of Newcastle United fans is that of Allan Saint-Maximin back in training.
After struggling to shake off the after effects of COVID-19 and spending some time in France to recover, the club have today released pictures of the 23-year-old in action at NUFC’s Benton base.
Here are the pictures released this afternoon of the winger back in light training:
This is the first time we’ve seen ASM with the ball at his feet for SEVEN weeks now, with his last appearance coming in our 0-2 defeat to Chelsea way back in November.
Steve Bruce has insisted that he’ll be monitored and may not be back in competitive action for a while yet – he’s still fighting ‘fatigue’ – however it’s a huge boost for everyone at the club to see him stepping up his return.
Let’s hope he gets fit and shakes off that fatigue ASAP. He may have been well below his best so far this season, but if anyone can help turn our season around and save Bruce’s bacon, it’s him!

Steve Bruce is well past his sell by date and it’s time to go.

It’s a disgraceful SELF inflicted CAREER ENDING SPEECH
Really – for 18 months the PLAYERS have been deciding how they setup and play (!?)
WHY is ASHLEY playing for a Manager!
