‘Friend’ of Steve Bruce tells him to resign as Newcastle head coach live on talkSPORT – Video

Tony Cascarino has astonishingly asked Steve Bruce to resign live on air, insisting that the Newcastle boss will ‘never’ get the fanbase on his side.

The former Republic of Ireland striker, who claims to be a friend of Bruce, also said that he “is not going to be successful in any shape or form” at Newcastle in a series of blunt statements live on air.

We currently find ourselves without a win in 10 games, having scored just once in our last seven, leaving us Toon fans in an overwhelming position of wanting him sacked.

Here is what Cascarino said on talkSPORT:

Sadly, a hefty pay-off Steve Bruce will be due should he be sacked is probably the main reason he hasn’t walked already.

Many in the media have made a brazen U-turn in recent weeks as the penny has started to drop on Bruce’s tenure at our club.

While Mike Ashley should take the vast amount of responsibility for the position our club is in, the truth remains that Bruce has lost the plot and the dressing room based on our body language on Saturday night, with the players looking a bunch of beaten men after we made it TEN games without a win.

We have seen no progress on the pitch despite making some decent signings in the summer. The way which we play is so negative that it has now become a chore to watch the side that we love – and you can’t blame Ashley for that.

It’s hard to say what he has to do at this stage to get the bullet. His future is probably safe so long as we sit above the drop zone which typifies everything you need to know about Ashley’s NUFC.

A reactionary club who tend not to act until it’s too late.

  1. News: F Lampard is being sacked today buy Chelski

This should be NUFC’s next manager = and Ashley should move fast to give him the opportunity to prove he’s a very good manager!

Don’t go for the lazy option of getting an AA Sponsor to work alongside Bruce
