Alan Shearer has singled out Callum Wilson for praise following our 2-0 win away at Goodison Park – but believes there was plenty other big positives to take for Steve Bruce!
The former Newcastle United No 9 has also picked out the all important clean sheet and “massive improvement all over the pitch” as two other huge plus points from today’s big win, highlighting what a brilliant team effort it was from all involved.

We were so much better in every single department, with everyone putting in a huge shift and playing well, however it was Wilson who will steal the headlines once again – and rightfully so.
The £20m summer signing gave us a man of the match performance when we needed it most. He ran the channels, put himself about, but most importantly, scored the goals as we claimed a surprise victory to claim a massive three points on the road.
What a win, what a performance and what a striker we have in Wilson!
