Joe Willock’s move to Newcastle United now ‘done’ – BBC

According to the BBC, Joe Willock’s loan move from Arsenal to Newcastle United is now ‘done’.

It was reported earlier today that talks were ‘advancing’ between the two clubs for the 21-year-old talent, and the BBC’s senior reporter Ian Dennis now claims the move has been completed.

Here’s what he’s tweeted in the last few moments:

The news comes as a welcome boost for NUFC fans after it was reported just moments ago that Hamza Choudhury’s proposed move to St James’ Park is OFF after Leicester missed out on a much needed replacement.

As for Willock, he is a 6ft 1′ midfielder who’s bagged three goals and three assists in 18 appearances for Arsenal this season – although it’s worth noting he’s only started twice in the Premier League this season.

He’s also been capped four times by England’s U-21’s and is capable of playing in a central or slightly more advanced midfield role, being able to offer the energy, pace and dynamism our engine room has so often lacked this season.

Next up, a picture of him in a black and white shirt on the club’s official site!

  1. Lee Ryder is saying personal terms haven’t been agreed yet. Seems someone is telling porkies or they haven’t got a clue.
