Alan Shearer has named Callum Wilson and Jamal Lewis in his Premier League team of the week alongside Steve Bruce, who gets in as manager.
Both players put in stellar performances as we completed a league double over Everton at Goodison Park, with Wilson bagging a brace to ease the pressure on his boss in the dugout.
Lewis picked out the assist in the dying embers of our 2-0 win as he put in a solid performance after a shaky couple of months.
Shearer also paid homage to Bruce by choosing him as manager of the week – which could arguably be shared with new assistant coach Graeme Jones for his input on a much-improved attacking display.

Oh what a surprise., Alan’s nominated his mate. Grow some ball Shearer and admit he is tactically clueless. Plenty of other managers without his resources playing very good football and well ahead of us in the league.
