Journalist close to Steve Bruce releases disastrous ‘breaking news’ on the NUFC boss’ future

According to some ‘breaking news’ from The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards, Newcastle United will NOT be sacking Steve Bruce anytime soon.

Edwards – a North East reporter and ‘friend’ of the NUFC boss’ – says he’s been told that he will ‘definitely’ still be in charge for our upcoming clash with Aston Villa and look set to keep his job “well beyond that”…somehow.

This comes after our 0-0 draw with second bottom West Brom left us with just TWO wins in our last 18 games – made even worse by the fact relegation rivals Fulham close the gap to just one after beating Liverpool at Anfield.

Here’s Luke Edwards’ ‘breaking news’ on the future of Bruce:

A disastrous update for us fans and the future of our club, with it becoming increasingly clear that we are only heading one way under his reign – and that’s down.

We know Mike Ashley is a risk taker and THE most careless owner in the Premier League, but how he can sit there and do nothing when the manager of our club says he’s “really, really pleased” with a point at West Brom is beyond me just moments before Fulham show us how it’s really done at Anfield.

You’d think we would’ve learnt our lesson by now given the way things went under McClaren, yet here we are again – sleepwalking into another relegation and now the favourites to go down alongside West Brom and Sheffield United.

  1. There are two villages in the uk for their idiots
    Steve Bruce and mike Ashley
One is a clueless buffoon out of his depth and the other is worse as he is a stubborn clueless buffoon for backing the 1st buffoon
    sack Bruce
Ashley please sell up and leave now even if you have to reduce your prices by £50 million because if you keep the clueless Buffon as manager it will cost you £150
Where’s the business logic in that

  2. It’s too late!
We have to play Brighton and Fulham away, and they played us off the park up here the latter with 10 players.
We will be playing Sunderland next season, and it’s been coming for a long time!
Only Ashley and his buffoon Bruce couldn’t see it coming, apart from the ignorant commentators.
If you want to know the truth, ask the fans!

  4. Bruce hasn’t any dignity – where will he live for the remainder of his **** soaked life = better not be in the northeast when he gets us relegated

If he loved NUFC he’d p!ss off now and let the club appoint a MANAGER – but we’ve seen his true colour = yellow!!!

  6. Luke edwards loves Bruce that’s all that is if Ashley wants to loose 150 million then go ahead but we will go down Fulham are fighting every game and sometimes winning and drawing but not loosing many we have won 2 games in 18 it is horrendous and how he has not been sacked is unbelievable we need 4 wins to stay up where are getting them

  7. Ashley will have looked at the whole situation with firing McClaren and hiring Rafa and still got relegated. Nufc didn’t win anything under the outspoken to ambitious Rafa we just survive so to speak yet it cost Ashley untold millions, an expensive mistake in his book. Not to be repeated for sure. So Bruce is as safe as house imo.

  8. Just shows how Newcastle are going to end up in the championship,Ashley ‘s not bothered and Bruce will never be a manager as long as he’s got a hold in his ****, f—–g unbelievable.

  9. When will people realise its not “our club” its Ashleys club. He can do with it what he wants. Bruce knows that. You can call him anything you like on twitter he gets his millions from Ashley not you. Only way to change that is to get rid of Ashley.

  10. I agree with most of the comments so far, the draw against WBA looked like a Bruce coached team ,we were back to the old style long balls for frasert to chase plenty of passes across the defence but nobody
in midfield creating anything and Joelinton on the right wing with Murphy sitting on the bench what a JOKE

  11. I wounded how long Bruce will last when the stadium has supporters in calling for his head next season

  12. The most criminal thing that Bruce has ‘achieved’ during his tenure is to make lifelong supporters (51 years in my case) fall out of love with the club. Over the last few weeks I have found myself watching the games and not really caring about the inevitable failures.

  13. So much anger now and the super loyal ever suffering supporters have had enough. Mr Bruce’s time has come to an end and would be in his best interests to leave now before supporters are back in the stadium, they will tear him to shreds because the anger will peak and you cannot hide in the dugout. So Mr Bruce do yourself a favour and walk please and save what dignity you have left if any at all.

  14. If Bruce cares about the club he should walk away now we don’t deserve this we are turning out to be the laughing stock of football Ashley sell the club and get out and get this club back to where we deserve to be
