Watch Bruce react to Brighton horror show – Refuses to resign & says “we’ve been doing well”

Steve Bruce has insisted he’ll “never give up the fight” after calls for him to resign following Saturday night’s disastrous 3-0 defeat at Brighton.

Although he did take full responsibility for the defeat, the deluded NUFC boss also had the audacity to claim “we’ve been doing well of late” – a comment that sums up how much he has his head in the sand after TWO wins in 20 and no victories over Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and now Brighton in our last four.

This game at The Amex was billed a must-win by many and a huge chance to move FIVE points clear of third bottom Fulham, yet it was a display lacking in quality, fight, organisation or ideas – proof Steve Bruce has lost the dressing room.

Here’s everything he had to say to Sky Sports after that truly pathetic display at Brighton:

  1. Sorry 2 wins in 20 games is not relying on your experience, it’s awful to watch Newcastle the football is non existent, we just turn up that’s it, no fight no desire no nothing no tactics and same excuses every single week
I just don’t know anymore Bruce needs sacking now, and Ashley sell up at any cost as at moment the club is rotten

  2. Listened to Paul Merson, another idiot who thinks the fans expect too much?
Even if we had been beaten last night and looked to have some semblance of passion, fight and a proper plan to score goals…. something you need to do believe it or not to win football matches I could accept that.
It is obvious to everyone and has been for some time he has lost the dressing room and has to go.
Players like Shelvey heads down walking around the park, backing off the opposition when you have the likes of Ritchie, Carroll. Longstaff’s none of them perfect, but left out by Bruce when you know they would give everything on the pitch, any of the reserve players would give more than the S**T shower they had pretending to play football last night.
