Emotional NUFC fan calls BBC 5 Live to send must-see message to Steve Bruce – Listen here

A fed-up Newcastle fan has sent a passionate message to Steve Bruce after calling up BBC 5 Live following our dismal 3-0 defeat at Brighton on Saturday night.

His emotional rant sees him admit that this is the “worst dross I’ve ever watched” in all of his 50 years of supporting Newcastle United.

The unnamed fan makes a host of damning points against the NUFC boss, believing he’s “tactically inept”, has lost the dressing room and is producing an “unwatchable” brand of football that has us hurtling towards the Championship if he doesn’t walk away.

He also slates Bruce for his ‘baffling’ team selection, questioning why we are constantly playing without a striker – despite him regularly talking up Dwight Gayle but never playing him – and giving Joelinton regular starts while Jacob Murphy is restricted to nothing but late cameos.

Watch what he had to say below:

You can hear the pain in this man’s voice.

We’ve seen this coming for some time, yet we’re forced to watch an inept manager avoid the sack after TWO wins in 20 and send our club back to the second tier.

  1. This season so far:

0.97 points per game, failed to score in 11 PL games, takes an average of 104 minutes to score 1 goal and concede on average every 54 minutes, meaning that we score 0.86 goals per game while conceding 1.66 goals per game, a win percentage of 24.14%, draw 24.14 and Loss of 51.72

Not forgetting we went 335 PL minutes without scoring (up that to 455, if you include the 120 minutes against the Gunners in the cup)

Yet Sky pundits will tell you we should be happy with this and should real in our expectations. even with my expectations the lowest they have been in many a year, surly no football fan starts a season with the expectation of being relegated which is the only way my expectations could have been any lower this season.

Sadly it looks like we may yet not meet my low expectations and find ourselves in a ever increasingly difficult to get out of championship next season.

lets all just pray that lot down the road don’t get promotion this season so that our humiliation is completed with a double in loss in the derby next year.

  2. If the fans did what I did and kept away I’ve never been inside the sports direct arena since how he treated Kevin Keegan if you all stopped going you would get change but the problem is not mike cashley or Steve Bruce it’s the fans to blame for going so if you go don’t moan you get what you deserve for supporting Ashley he wants your money and nothing else
