Bruce’s pathetic ‘plan’ revealed – Players unsurprised but ‘shocked’ he’s still in a job – Report

Another damning Craig Hope exclusive has emerged over the past 24 hours, revealing that Steve Bruce will give he and his players SIX days off out of the nine available over the international break.

The same journalist, who accurately told us about a training ground bust-up with Matt Ritchie, also claims that some sections of the dressing room are “shocked” to see he’s not been sacked yet and unsurprised by his lazy approach to training…or lack of it!

Bruce has come under criticism recently not just for our abysmal performances, but because it is now common knowledge that Toon players train nowhere near as much as we think – which is frankly ridiculous given our abysmal form and current predicament.

Players were given two days off following our 3-0 battering against Brighton at the weekend and now The Mail Online have revealed that they are set to put their feet up again:

Our next game is against Spurs on April 3 as we aim to pick up our third win in 21 matches.

Surely, any manager worth their salt would be on the training ground relentlessly, trying to to fix the problems that have seen us slip to just two points above the dreaded drop zone.

Imagine one of us failing to turn into work, but expecting full pay and zero criticism for doing so? It’s totally not on and is nothing but a huge slap in the face to supporters.

Get into work Steve, and start tackling the enormous task at hand. He often talks about “rolling our sleeves up” or “dusting ourselves down” after a poor result…how on Earth is any of this reflective of that?
