According to reports, Newcastle are interested in signing Stuttgart star Sasa Kalajdzic this summer.
The Austrian international has been described as the ‘the new Erling Haaland’ after bursting onto the scene in the Bundesliga this season, with him not only 6ft 6′ but known for a decent turn of pace for his size, good movement and an impressive first touch.
He’s bagged an impressive 14 goals and four assists in 27 appearances so far this season, helping Stuttgart up to 8th in the table following promotion back to the German top flight last year.
TuttoJuve claim that we are eager to bring the giant striker to St James’ Park should we stay up, but also state that Juventus, RB Leipzig and Everton have been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.
That same report claims Kalajdzic is valued at around £17m, the sort of fee we might be able to afford if we’re still a Premier League club when this summer’s transfer window opens.
Potentially one to watch if we stay up and stick with the same recruitment team – although it’s fair to say the last ‘striker’ they bought from the Bundesliga didn’t quite work out!

Did the other people who’ve commented on here watch that video, some great goals and assists, headers, left foot, right foot, way out of our league, we’d have to sign him now to get him for £17M, cos guaranteed that figure will have doubled by end of season if he keeps playing like that.
