Good news for NUFC in latest round of relegation battle with star player set to return vs Fulham

With the international break almost over, it’s almost time to return our attentions to the relegation battle we find ourselves embroiled in.

Our biggest hurdle this weekend is Sunday’s clash with Spurs at St James’ Park, however a significant game follows with third bottom Fulham travelling to Aston Villa at 4.30pm.

The Villains have been in worryingly bad form, but it’s emerged this week that they are set to welcome back star man and club captain Jack Grealish in the nick of time.

Considering Villa have won just once in six games without the England international and scored just THREE goals in his absence, his return can only be seen as good news for us Newcastle United fans.

Having been missing since February, Grealish resumed full training earlier this week and looks set to make his comeback in Sunday’s clash with the Cottagers.

As desperate as it sounds, we need all the help we can get if we’re to survive – especially when defeat for us on Sunday could leave Fulham a win away from dumping us in the relegation zone.

Let’s hope a surprise win over Spurs is followed by Grealish firing Villa to a victory over Fulham this weekend.
