Steve Bruce rant re-emerges from 2018 – Proof nothing has changed in two and a half years?

Steve Bruce is nothing but consistent… He’s consistently awful and blames everything but himself but he’s consistent nonetheless!

Over his time as Newcastle manager, we’ve watched some absolutely torrid football and heard some absolutely awful excuses but we’ve also heard that this is completely in his remit. In fact, we have seen evidence from a number of fans of previously Bruce managed clubs that he subjected them to the same repetitive dross too.

Bruce’s management style has not change one jot since managing Villa. He simply doesn’t know how to manage a club with ambition and good players, which in my mind makes him pretty much useless as a top manager.

Recently, a clip resurfaced from Talksport of an Aston Villa fan and Sports Broadcaster ranting about the complete ineptitude of Steve Bruce. Check it out here:

If anything, this clip shows you how ridiculous punditry is in English football and Rupert Bell points it out perfectly that “Fans aren’t stupid!”

Everything that Bell points out is extremely reminiscent of what Newcastle fans have been complaining about for some time now.

Sadly, I think this highlights two things:

1. Steve Bruce is going to miraculously change into a good manager.
2. Pundits are going to continually point the blame at anything other than Steve Bruce

The fact that the exact same things can be said on Talksport, and they still air condescending dross that paints Steve Bruce as God’s gift to football, shows how much their opinion is worth. Talksport exists simply to talk down to fans, call them stupid and then rake in the phone calls from angry, emotionally invested people. Once they know that people are too angry, they bring in someone to talk some sense and then let the whole charade start again. This rant from 2018 shows that nothing has changed with Bruce or programmes like Talksport. Bruce and Talksport are one of the same; they’re pointless dinosaurs desperately trying to make themselves relevant in football by any means necessary.
