An incredible end to Fulham’s Sunday afternoon clash at Aston Villa has kept Newcastle United out of the relegation zone.
Aleksandar Mitrovic had given the away side a second half lead after an awful mistake from Tyrone Mings – a strike that left us in the bottom three on goal difference with 13 minutes remaining – however Scott Parker’s side crumbled in the latter stages to lose 3-1.
Goals from Trezeguet in the 78th and 81st minute suddenly made it 2-1, while a late tap in from Ollie Watkins secured the win all NUFC fans were hoping for.
This comes after Joe Willock’s 85th minute equaliser helped us to a deserved 2-2 draw against Spurs at St James’ Park.
