Updated Premier League table & remaining fixtures as Fulham bottle it at Aston Villa

An incredible end to Fulham’s Sunday afternoon clash at Aston Villa has kept Newcastle United out of the relegation zone.

Aleksandar Mitrovic had given the away side a second half lead after an awful mistake from Tyrone Mings – a strike that left us in the bottom three on goal difference with 13 minutes remaining – however Scott Parker’s side crumbled in the latter stages to lose 3-1.

Goals from Trezeguet in the 78th and 81st minute suddenly made it 2-1, while a late tap in from Ollie Watkins secured the win all NUFC fans were hoping for.

This comes after Joe Willock’s 85th minute equaliser helped us to a deserved 2-2 draw against Spurs at St James’ Park.

Here’s the updated Premier League table at the bottom, along with Fulham, Newcastle and Brighton’s remaining fixtures:

Newcastle (8 games) –  Burnley (A), West Ham (H), Liverpool (A), Arsenal (H), Leicester (A), Man City (H), Sheffield United (H), Fulham (A).

Fulham (7 games) – Wolves (H), Arsenal (A), Chelsea (A), Burnley (H), Southampton (A), Man Utd (A), Newcastle (H).

Brighton (9 games) –  Man Utd (A), Everton (H), Chelsea (A), Sheffield United (A), Leeds (H), Wolves (A), West Ham (H), Man City (H), Arsenal (A).
