Late drama at Fulham boosts NUFC’s survival hopes on Friday night, despite VAR shambles – Updated table

We may have seen perhaps THE worst VAR decision we’ve witnessed all season deny Wolves a perfectly good goal in the first half, but it didn’t matter in the end as Fulham conceded in the 90th minute to lose 1-0 in tonight’s crucial clash at Craven Cottage.

After VAR adjudged Daniel Podence’s arm to be offside in the build up to Willian Jose’s goal just before the break, Fulham looked set to move a point closer to ourselves – albeit via a disappointing 0-0 draw – until Adama Traore scored a stunner to win it for Wolves in extra time.

The result means third bottom Fulham are now THREE points behind us after playing two games more, meaning a win at Burnley on Sunday could send us SIX clear with a game in hand.

Here’s the ridiculous VAR decision that almost gifted Fulham a point, followed by an updated Premier League table and remaining the fixtures:

Newcastle (8 games) –  Burnley (A), West Ham (H), Liverpool (A), Arsenal (H), Leicester (A), Man City (H), Sheffield United (H), Fulham (A).

Fulham (6 games) –  Arsenal (A), Chelsea (A), Burnley (H), Southampton (A), Man Utd (A), Newcastle (H).
