Watch Bruce’s reaction to 2-1 win at Burnley – Talks Saint-Maximin, VAR & final seven games

Steve Bruce has urged his side not to get carried away after our 2-1 win at Burnley extended the gap between ourselves and Fulham to SIX points today.

That said, the NUFC boss believes today was perfect proof how much we’ve missed Allan Saint-Maximin, with the game turning on its head within 10 minutes of him and Callum Wilson coming on.

Bruce makes a bizarre gaff in telling Sky Sports we’ve won “back to back games in the Premier League”, but he’s right to say it is key we stay grounded and keep our key players fit ahead of a tough run of fixtures.

Here’s what he’s had to say on all of the above, along with VAR’s baffling decision not to hand us a first half penalty following a high boot on Sean Longstaff:

Bruce on Saint-Maximin:

Bruce on the run in:

Bruce on VAR denying us a blatant penalty:

Let’s hope we can kick on from this, keep our key men fit and take this momentum into a rough run of fixtures.
