Gary Neville has exploded in a passionate rant about plans for a European Super League- calling for the Premier League to “relegate” all of the ‘big six’ if the ESL goes ahead.
In a move that stunned the football world, a joint statement announced last night that Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have agreed to breakaway from the Premier League and form a new competition alongside the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Red Devils’s legend Neville was clearly angered by the move and let his frustrations out live on Sky Sports last night – calling the plan an “absolute joke” and “criminal act against football fans.”
Watch all three clips featuring his brilliant rant below:
He spoke from the heart and put into words perfectly what every other football fan is thinking.
Let them have their “Super League”, kick them out of the Premier League and slam the door shut as soon as it all falls in on itself.
I would be deeply ashamed to support any of those so-called “big six” clubs right now.
