Allan Saint-Maximin receives half-time message from Demba Ba after shining at Anfield

It’s half-time at Anfield and Liverpool are 1-0 up thanks to an early strike by Mo Salah, however there’s another player who has caught the attention of ex-Mag Demba Ba.

After an electric 45 minutes from Allan Saint-Maximin, the Senegalese striker has revealed he “would’ve loved” to play with the French winger during his time on Tyneside.

We’ve get to find a route back into the game as of yet, however the winger has been at the heart of everything good we’ve done going forward, beating Red shirts with ease, drawing fouls and creating chances on the counter.

Here’s what Ba tweeted just moments after the half-time whistle:

What we’d give to have an in-form Demba Ba back at Newcastle alongside the likes of Wilson and Saint-Maximin!

One thing’s for sure, we might’ve scored past that open Liverpool defence had he been on the pitch in that first half.

Fingers crossed we can wake up defensively and find a route back into the game in the second 45.
