Six Newcastle United players ruled out of tonight’s trip to Leicester – but one set to return

Joe Willock may be eligible to play after missing last week’s dismal defeat to Arsenal, but there’s a host of players Steve Bruce will be missing ahead of tonight’s trip to Leicester.

Here’s the SIX set to be unavailable through injury or suspension:

Fabian Schar – Starts a three game ban after the club had an appeal REJECTED to get his recent red card overturned.

Jamaal Lascelles – Remains our with a stress fracture in his foot. Bruce believes he’s ‘touch and go’ to play again this season after only just coming out of his protective boot.

Isaac Hayden – Ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a knee injury in that 3-0 defeat at Brighton a few months ago.

Elliot Anderson – Tipped to get game time over the final few games of the season, however he’s now set for a few weeks on the sidelines with a new hip injury.

Ryan Fraser – Continuing his recovery from groin surgery last month. Remains to be seen if he’ll play again this season.

Karl Darlow – Also recovering from a minor operation on his knee, meaning Mark Gillespie will be on the bench at Leicester tonight.
