Steve Bruce has been nominated for the Premier League’s manager of the month award for April 2021, with Allan Saint-Maximin also one of eight players in the running for player of the month.
The NUFC boss – who you can vote for here – comes up against West Brom’s Sam Allardyce, Leeds’ Marcelo Bielsa and Man Utd’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after picking up big wins over Burnley and West Ham, along with well deserved draws against Spurs and Liverpool over the month of April.
As for the players section, you can vote here for Allan Saint-Maximin, who is competing against the following seven players for April’s award:
- Trent Alexander Arnold (Liverpool)
- Stuart Dallas (Leeds)
- Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester)
- Mason Greenwood (Man Utd)
- Jesse Lingard (West Ham)
- Matheus Pereira (West Brom)
- Chris Wood (Burnley)
- Allan Saint-Maximin (Newcastle)
The Frenchman has been the driving force behind our upturn in form last month, bagging a goal and an assist in the win at Burnley, running rings around West Ham and causing Liverpool all sorts of problem in our 1-1 draw at Anfield a few weekend’s ago.
As for Bruce, he may not be the man to take us forward but does deserve credit for the results we’ve pulled out the bag to move us 9 clear of Fulham – a side who look destined to overtake this time last month.
very interesting and informative
