“Newcastle fans are mouthy little cowards” – Simon Jordan launches new attack live on talkSPORT

Simon Jordan is at it again.

After cuddling up to Steve Bruce in what he claims to have been an ‘objective’ interview that made the NUFC boss ‘work hard’ live on talkSPORT yesterday morning, he’s fed up with the criticism he and the show have received.

He’s even gone as far as calling Newcastle fans “mouthy little cowards”, admitting he’s starting to dislike us as a club for the way we’ve acted during Steve Bruce’s time at the club – oh the irony!

Watch his latest rant for yourselves below:

Jordan is becoming a walking, talking hypocrite at this point.

He goes big on this idea of holding people to account, yet there was absolutely no evidence of him, Jim White and Danny Murphy asking Steve Bruce some tough questions in yesterday’s one-sided interview.

This isn’t the first time either, with Jordan giving a host of uninformed reasons as to why Steve Bruce has been handed unfair criticism this season.

Going back to March this year, he said these were two reasons ‘Brucie’ has been ‘thrown under the bus’ at Newcastle:

  1. He’s not been backed by Mike Ashley – claiming he hasn’t been given “all the tools to do the job”.
  2. The players he’s got aren’t good enough and are just as responsible for the mess we’re in as they “haven’t performed” for him.

Laughable when he’s over £100m spent on him over the past few transfer windows, signing the sort of players Rafa Benitez could’ve only dreamt of in Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin.

Then, back in January, he said this – insisting our current squad is a ‘disgrace’, the reason Bruce could get sacked and a side that would get ‘smashed to smithereens’ if we attempted to play attacking football:

With this laughable viewpoint in mind, why didn’t Jordan question why Bruce hadn’t ‘gone for it’ earlier in the season when Friday night’s win over Leicester proved what these players are capable of when let off their leash and allowed to play attacking football?

  1. Jordan put up or shut the **** up!

You give numpty Bruce a job – then you can bleat on about him – and stop trying to flog White trainers to old men that should know better 🙂

  2. What a prize plon**r this idiot is.
My dog knows more about football than he does… Money does not make you the font of all knowledge.
    Just a rich Di*k….
Which massive big club do you run now eh?? Glass houses and bricks….

  3. Perhaps Simon Jordan would be kind enough to allow me the access to the media he enjoys and the I can explain, in rather less words, my honest opinion of failed football club owners masquerading as pundits.

  5. You’re just beginning to dislike us?
The feeling has been mutual for a long time for us mate.
Perhaps you should try and engage your brain before putting your gob into gear.

  6. Rich comments coming from someone who took his club into administration, and had ONE season in the Premier League, while he constantly calls the new Palace chairman worse than muck – a chairman who has made Palace a regular top-flight club, as it happens. Mouthy little cowards should look in the mirror before passing judgment on a club, or support base that he had no first-hand knowledge of. These keyboard/media warriors spouting sh*te are what’s wrong with the entire world of Football these days. Who gives a rat’s **** what he thinks about us or our club. It’s getting rather boring now, listening to his waffle.

  12. Bruce is not the man to take us forward (100% agree with this) but why so called “fans” feel the need to constantly slate him I don’t know. Every single word he ever says gets put under the microscope. Every single article has a negative slant towards him (despite the same authors saying they got it wrong about Bruce midway through the season). What does all this achieve other than make us look like a fickle bunch of t*ssers.

Let’s face it. Our centre midfield is bang average and full backs not much better. With the players we have been able to field, no manager in the world could have secured a top half finish.

Yes we could and should be playing better football and I have little hope things will get better under Bruce but the constant abuse is way too much. People love to talk about our great support. Unfortunately it’s not true because the passion is not channeled positively.
