Former Mag now one of the shock favourites to become the next Tottenham manager

According to the bookies, Fulham boss and former NUFC midfielder Scott Parker is now one of the leading contenders to land the Tottenham job.

The 40-year-old saw his side relegated on Monday night following a 2-0 defeat to Burnley, yet it seems that setback has only increased his chances of remaining in the Premier League.

A few weeks on from Jose Mourinho’s departure, the bookmakers now have him at 4/1 – just behind Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi.

Parker played 50 times for Tottenham as a player and is believed to be rated highly by Daniel Levy, despite the fact he’s failed to keep Fulham in the Premier League this season.

Here’s the latest odds for the vacant Spurs job, with ex-NUFC boss Rafa Benitez featuring at 16/1 after declaring his interest in a Premier League return:

  • Simone Inzaghi – 2/1
  • Scott Parker – 4/1
  • Graham Potter – 6/1
  • Antonio Conte – 8/1
  • Brendan Rodgers – 10/1
  • Nuno Esparito Santo – 12/1
  • Rafa Benitez – 16/1
  • Julen Lopetegui – 16/1
  • Roberto Martinez – 16/1
  • Ryan Mason – 16/1
  • Eddie Howe – 16/1
  • Maurizio Sarri – 20/1
  • Jurgen Klinsmann – 20/1
  • Massimiliano Allegri – 25/1

  1. Cant believe Bielsa isn’t on that list considering he’s out of contract in the summer like.
