Mehrdad Ghodoussi – Amanda Staveley’s husband and a potential board member if a Saudi takeover goes through – has heaped praise on Leicester City’s ownership following their FA Cup triumph over Chelsea.
The PCP partner posted a telling tweet in the aftermath of The Foxes’ big win at Wembley, applauding Leicester chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha – son of the late Vichai – as he insisted that this connection between owner, fans and players is “what it’s all about”.
As you can see below, there was some emotional scenes at the final whistle as Top joined in with the celebrations – a far cry away from the 14 years of disillusionment we have suffered from Mike Ashley!
Watch the brilliant clip below, with Ghodoussi’s message speaking volumes about the consortium’s vision should their bid finally be successful:
Our proposed new-owners – Staveley in particular – have spoken about the importance of building a relationship between the supporters and the board, something that every football fan envy’s Leicester for right now.
Like many of his post over the past 12 months, Ghodoussi’s latest tweet signals more intent to build bridges at Newcastle and adopt a hands-on approach should they be the group to finally end Mike Ashley’s dismal tenure on Tyneside.
