£5m deal now imminent as NUFC fans spot signs of new kit supplier at St James’ Park – Photo

Eagled-eyed Newcastle fans believe recent pictures of St James’ Park have all but confirmed Castore are about to be announced as our official new kit supplier any day now in a deal worth £5m.

The club’s official Twitter feed released a looking St James’ Park undergoing some much-needed maintenance, with one image in particular causing uproar with supporters online.

In the photo, Puma – our shirt supplier since 2010 – appear to have had their logo covered up on the East Stand, possibly hinting at a changing of the guard ahead of the new campaign.

See the photo below:

Is their logo being embellished on the stadium as we speak? It makes you think and looks likely to me!

The worst kept secret at the club is that British sportswear brand Castore are set to design our kits as of next season, with them also signing a long-term deal with Wolves just last month.

I’m looking forward to seeing another firm given the task as Puma have made some pretty average kits for us over the last decade, 2011/12 home kit and 2018/19 away kit aside!

  1. How more down market can you go, than a completely unheard of sportswear company. The mind boggles.

  2. Just curious, but £5 million does not seem alot to me. Could you list how much other PL club are getting for shirt sponsors.
