Footage has emerged of Newcastle United’s Graeme Jones putting the Three Lions through their paces in a shooting drill at England’s training base this week.
Our first-team coach has been involved in three wins out of three since being recruited by Gareth Southgate ahead of Euro 2020 – a move that proved popular with the Toon Army on social media.
Jones’ appointment is widely recognised as a key factor in helping to keep us in the Premier League, with Newcastle evidently adopting a fresh style of play since his arrival.
Clips of his work at Newcastle United have been limited, but the England media team have posted this video showing him instructing the likes of Man Utd striker Marcus Rashford and Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.
You can watch Jones’ drill below from 9:40 onwards – keep your eyes peeled for a peach of a volley from Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish at 11:25!
Great to see Jones doing his thing, being vocal on the training ground and getting the players onside with some fun yet challenging drills, offering an insight into the sort of activities he may have introduced at our Benton base.
