Emil Krafth may have scored in last month’s defeat to Man City, but it’s fair to say he’s not known for his goals – having bagged just five times in almost 270 career appearances for club and country.
That said, some new footage from the Sweden camp has shown the right-back scoring a few long-range strikes ahead of their Euro 2020 clash with Slovakia!
Repeat this today and we’ll see him score past our very own Martin Dubravka, with the pair meeting in a crucial Group E clash in Russia – a game you can watch live on BBC One at 2pm.
Watch both his strikes in training below, with his first from open play being an absolute peach!
With Slovakia top of Group E after an opening day win over Poland, this is a big chance for Dubravka’s side to all but secure progress into the knockout stage, yet defeat to Sweden could leave them in big trouble given their final game of the group phase sees them take on Spain – who drew 0-0 with the Swede’s in their first match.
Back to Krafth, his £5m arrival the summer Steve Bruce arrived remains a bizarre one.
He did pretty well when asked to fill in over our recent run-in, but many believe he is no better than Manquillo and a downgrade on most improved player Jacob Murphy.
The 25-year-old always gives his all and has sometimes filled in on the right-hand side of a three-man defence, however he still has it all to do if he’s to become Premier League proven and a regular part of Steve Bruce’s side in 2021/22.
