Dubravka scores freak own goal minutes after stunning penalty save vs Spain – Watch here

Martin Dubravka has had a quite incredible 20 minutes in tonight’s Euro 2020 decider between Slovakia and Spain – currently live on ITV1 as we speak.

After making a few solid stops in the opening exchanges, the Newcastle United number one showed incredible reflexes to save a 10th minute penalty from Alvaro Morata.

However, he went from hero to villain on the half-hour mark, putting through is own net in calamitous fashion to hand Spain a 1-0 lead – and the advantage in Group E as things stand!

Watch both incidents below, starting with his penalty save:

Talk about ecstasy to agony. A top save to start with from the NUFC stopper, but what on earth was he doing for the own goal? Did he lose sight of the ball and get blinded by the sun? Only he knows, but that’s a shocker.

Elsewhere, Emil Krafth’s Sweden are 1-0 up on Poland as things stand – meaning they are on course to finish top of Group E if things stay the same.

Let’s hope Dubravka can put this one behind him ahead of the 2021/22 season!
