Rafa Benitez’s family home receives sickening visit from embarrassing Everton fans – Photo

Everton fans have crossed the line in their campaign against Rafa Benitez, with a threatening banner now emerging outside his family home – reminding the former NUFC boss that ‘we know where you live’.

This comes a week after Blues fans made their feelings clear outside Goodison Park; something that looked set to scupper the Spaniard’s arrival at one stage.

Sky Sports reported over the weekend that Benitez should be confirmed as Toffees boss this week, however the decision has not gone down with the blue half of the city.

Rafa infamously labelled Everton a “small club” while managing Liverpool in 2007 and the deal reportedly almost fell through last week due to fan pressure.

That said, Chairman Farhad Moshiri appears to have stuck by his guns – and a group of Evertonians have reacted in the worst possible way with this sickening message outside his family home:

No matter who you support or what your opinions are about a manager, there is no room for this in football!

Some felt this may be a ‘dream job’ for Benitez in terms of location, the ambition at Everton and money at their disposal, but it’s starting to look like a nightmare. Is it honestly worth the hassle for him and his family?

He deserves better – especially after all the community work he has done on Merseyside.

  1. No excuses for it. Or for hounding your owners home, posting banners by his house, putting gangs outside his shops to shout at them and intimidate the staff, gathering outside restaurants where he is dining, sending fans to the PL headquarters to harass and also film the admin staff and post it on social media.
No. It’s not right at all, is it?

  2. It is, in all likeliness, a few rogue Evertonians but we know quite a number of Kopites are also angry at the alleged appointment. The majority of Evertonians may not be happy with the appointment but we will support the club no matter what.

  3. As an Everton fan for over 50 years, I am sickened by the so called fans who aim abuse at Rafa and disown them. They are dragging our great club down because of their blind prejudice. Moshiri is looking intelligently (without bias) to hiring who he thinks is the best man for Everton FC. Then you have these “fans” who are just biased against Rafa because of what he said and who he once worked for. If he really thought we were a “small club” then he would have no interest in signing for us. It’s pathetic.

  4. I’m a NUFC fan who didn’t buy into the Rafa hype – but this is disgraceful!!!.

I hope it unites scousers both red & blue against this kind of behaviour towards a bloke who has done so much for a City outside of football.
