Allan Saint-Maximin has been pictured in tremendous shape ahead of the new Premier League season – reminding NUFC fans that he’s having ‘no days off’.
He has not been in action since our final game of the season against Fulham on May 23, but looks raring as the players prepare to return for pre-season this month.
The caption “no days off” means we can expect him to be in the same vein of fitness as what we did at the back end of 2020/21, when he regained form to help fire us to Premier League safety.
Here’s the picture he posted on his Instagram story on Sunday afternoon, with this coming after he was spotted doing hill sprints on holiday while others may have been relaxing in the sun!
Harem Ben Arfa and Michael Owen are two players over the years whose fitness levels waned during their time on Tyneside, but it seems our explosive Frenchman is fit, ready and rating to go.
Fair play for Maxi for keeping in shape. Let’s hope he can stay fit over pre-season and come into the new season in top form!
