Emil Krafth could be set for NUFC exit to make room for new signing – Alan Nixon

According to new reports emerging on Sunday morning, Newcastle could look to sell Emil Krafth this summer.

This comes from Alan Nixon – a chief writer at The Sun who was the first to call deals for Federico Fernandez and Rodrigo Vilca. He claims that we are looking to move the right-back on as Steve Bruce is trying to bring in new defensive cover of his own.

The 26-year-old told the Swedish press just last week that he was ‘100%’ sure he’d be staying this summer and insisted he was happy on Tyneside, however it looks like the club may have other ideas.

Here’s what Nixon’s had to say today in a transfer update for Toon fans:

Krafth will be due back on Tyneside next week after exiting Euro 2020 at the last 16 stage with Sweden.

Although nothing came of it in the end, the Daily Mail did report back in January that he was closing in on a £2.7m move to İstanbul Başakşehir – only for Steve Bruce to pull the plug on a deal at the 11th hour.

With Jacob Murphy and Javier Manquillo two capable option at right wing-back, would it be a wise move to cash in on Krafth and free up another squad space?
