After releasing a few quotes and a short snippet of Amanda Staveley’s chat with David Craig last night, Sky Sports have now shared the full clip of the interview.
The 17-minute video shows the Dubai-based businesswoman spearheading the Saudi takeover bid discuss everything from the Premier League, to the arbitration process, need for transparency and government intervention.
Here’s what he’s had to say in full:
“People have to be prepared to compromise and I think thats something that sometimes people think we’re not prepared to do. With regulation, you’ve got to look at all views and to try and get everything there to find a middle ground”.
Is this a message to the Premier League, stating they ARE willing to strike a compromise either during or before the arbitration hearing begins?
“If we don’t get that intervention from government and they don’t listen to us today, then I fear this process will just lapse and we’ll never have a fair hearing of the key issues”
Another telling comment was this one above, suggesting it is vital the government intervene if we are to get a ‘fair hearing’ ahead of Mike Ashley’s legal battle against the EPL.
What do you make of her comments? Do they make you feel more confident a deal can eventually go through, or concerned the deal is destined to fail once and for all this summer? Let us know!
