Saudi consortium member sends takeover message to NUFC fans – “Amanda & I are truly grateful”

Mehrdad Ghodhoussi has thanked Toon fans for their continued support to try and push the £300million Saudi-backed takeover across the line.

Amanda Staveley’s husband – who was part of the Saudi-backed consortium bidding to buy the club – sent a message of appreciation to Toon fan Steve Wraith and his NUFC Matters team ahead of next week’s planned protest at Parliament Square.

His wife has been on the media merry-go-round over the last week as the arbitration case between Newcastle United and the Premier League draws closer.

She has echoed Mike Ashley’s calls for the hearing to be held in public, with a section of Toon fans travelling down to the capital next Friday to demand transparency from the top flight.

Ghodhoussi’s public show of gratitude towards the Toon Army reinforces Staveley’s comments last week that they remain as determined as ever to secure our fairytale takeover.

  1. Mehrdad Ghodhoussi passed wind this afternoon and a number of Newcastle United fans spontaneously combusted while a number of others just left a white stain on the pavement.

The Chronicle reported that Ghodhoussi’s expellation of waste gas signifies another positive step forward in PCP Capital’s bid to take over the club, while the Northern Echo insist that he was commenting that he thought Ashley’s legal cases were about to come to fruition.

The BBC report that he farted.
