Angelo Fulgini – the latest player linked with a potential summer move to St James’ Park.
This one comes from The Mail, who report that ourselves and Crystal Palace have joined the race to sign the 24-year-old playmaker following an outstanding season in France.
The Angers star bagged 10 goals and four assists from midfield last season and is believed to be available for around £12m this summer, with the Ligue 1 side struggling financially and forced to sell following the Coronavirus pandemic.
Capable of playing anywhere across midfield, Fulgini is described in the report as a ‘versatile, creative, skilful and a set-piece specialist’ , with him also the second most fouled player in all of Europe’s top five leagues last season.
Fulgini was born in the Ivory Coast but has represented France at youth level, from U17s to U21s.
The Mail state that ourselves and Palace could battle it out for his signature, also stating that the two clubs are also keeping tabs on a loan move for Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher.
Another one to watch as we look to sign a couple of midfielders in the coming weeks?
