New report names TWO signings “most likely” to go through as Bruce eyes double loan deal

Loan deals for Joe Willock and Axel Tuanzebe are the “most likely” moves to come off for Steve Bruce this summer, according to the Daily Star.

Tuanzebe will be given the green light to leave Man Utd on loan once a £34m deal for Raphael Varane is made official – something Solskjaer confirmed this week – while Willock’s future at Arsenal appears to remain up in the air.

The Mail reporter this week that we are ‘increasingly confident’ of landing the 21-year-old on loan, but Steve Bruce’s most recent comments suggest we are STILL waiting for a final decision on his future.

Back to the Daily Star’s piece, they report that Bruce is working with a £10m budget, with it their understanding that any ‘big-name’ permanent transfers will only happen if additional funds are raised through player sales.

With us having so little to spend and only TWO domestic loan deals to use up, it’s vital that we play it smart and choose carefully.

Tuanzebe and Willock would be two shrewd signings, but time is of the essence and we can’t wait forever, with it revealed just yesterday that fellow target Conor Gallagher had opted to join Crystal Palace instead of ourselves.
