NUFC eyeing loan bid for Tottenham talent, with Bruce keen to sign 2 of 4 midfield targets – Report

According to The Mail, Newcastle are now showing interest in a loan move for Tottenham talent Oliver Skipp as Steve Bruce looks to sign TWO new midfielders.

It’s not yet clear whether the 20-year-old will be allowed to leave Spurs ahead of the new season, with new boss Nuno Espirito-Santo having big plans for the England U21 international.

However, he could be loaned out to give him regular starts at Premier League level, and it’s thought Steve Bruce is a ‘big fan’.

That said, The Mail report that we’ll face stiff competition from Norwich City for his signature, with him spending the 2020/21 season at Carrow Road.

The same piece also discusses our other midfield targets, stating that we’ve made a bid for Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara, are pursuing a loan with an option to buy for Joe Willock and remain keen on Leicester City’s Hamza Choudhury.

Simon Jones also reports that we have NOT made an enquiry for Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey, despite Goal claiming on Monday that we’d been in contact over a potential loan deal.
