Sky Sports have now jumped on the Joe Willock story after some big breaking news on Sunday night confirmed we have now agreed a deal with Arsenal to sign the midfielder.
According to North-East correspondent Keith Downie, the total fee is in the region of £25m, with him crucially stating that the player himself is ‘keen to make the move.’
Sky Sports report that personal terms still need to be agreed, with Willock also needing to complete a medical at the club, however the fact a deal has been struck with Arsenal and the 21-year-old is eager to make the move suggests it’s a matter of time before Bruce gets his man!
Here’s what Downie’s had to say:
Sky Sports colleague Pete Graves has also offered an update on the proposed deal, insisting that personal terms and a medical should be sorted with minimal fuss – suggesting he might just have a chance of featuring in Sunday’s opening day clash with West Ham!
After fellow target Axel Tuanzebe signed for Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon, this is the much needed boost our fruitless summer had been crying out for!
Selling Wilock and you think of bring Kieran T at that age sincerely Arsenal, where are going to. Dusan Vlahovic bringing atleast this is good news, likes of Martin Odegaard are good news to hear and a also a new goal keeper. We already have Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Soares

I’m pretty sure we effectively heard the same story 4 or 5 days ago.
