Gary Neville’s takeover message to NUFC fans – “Newcastle will get bought and go like that”

Gary Neville believes Newcastle WILL be bought by wealthy owners in the coming years and expects the club to rocket if and when that day arrives.

The Man Utd legend feels we would have followed the same trajectory as Chelsea and Man City to become English powerhouses if we had been bought out by the Saudis.

Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich and oil-rich Abu Dhabi royal Sheik Mansour bought those two clubs in 2003 and 2008 respectively, and have gone on to become the most successful clubs in English football since then.

Our own proposed “lottery ticket” takeover was blocked by the Premier League last year, with a legal case between NUFC and the top flight expected to take place in early 2022.

Now, Sky Sports star Gary Neville believes a host of clubs – including Newcastle – were bigger than Chelsea and City prior to their takeovers, and thinks we would go on to become successful if our Saudi deal is given the green light.

Here is what he said alongside Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane, while speaking at an event for his The Overlap podcast:

  1. Look – we have good players – get rid of Bruce and we’d improve 120%

    Guy simply ain’t a MANAGER

Instead of buying 47 dross midfielder’s…

…WE NEED a Premiership Striker (Gayle is a great championship striker) as we’ve lost Carroll and Muto…

..and then 2 quality Right Backs = Richie gives 100% but he’s a MIDFIELDER – just look where he was when West Ham scored the first, Second and Fourth
