NUFC offered chance to sign Premier League defender for £5m – Loan deal not an option – Report

According to SBI Soccer, Newcastle United are “unlikely” to stump up the £5million asking fee for Spurs defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.

American journalist Larry Henry Jr also insists that a loan deal is not an option, with the centre-back out of contract next summer and not likely to sign a new deal.

The USA international has attracted interest from Championship side Bournemouth, with Spurs still waiting for an answer from The Cherries regarding a move for the 23-year-old.

He is expected to start for Tottenham on Thursday night in the newly-formed European Conference League, a tournament formed by UEFA to give “lesser” clubs a chance at winning continental silverware.
