NUFC official spotted on scouting mission – Report names player he could’ve been watching

The Chronicle have revealed that head of recruitment Steve Nickson was spotted at the KCOM Stadium over the weekend, watching Bournemouth’s 0-0 draw at Hull City.

Why he was there is yet to be confirmed, however Lee Ryder has hinted that the scouting mission may well have been to check out Cherries star David Brooks.

The highly-rated midfielder has been linked with a move to Tyneside in the past and, interestingly, The Chronicle claim that he is represented by the same agency that Newcastle United ‘use regularly’ to do deals.

Another Bournemouth player we’ve been credited with an interest in over the past 12 months is Danish international Phillip Billing, however the 6ft 5′ midfielder actually missed out on their matchday squad on Saturday.

Here’s a snippet from the piece itself, confirming our head of recruitment was in the stands:

Bruce’s head of recruitment Steve Nickson was spotted at Hull City’s bore draw with Bournemouth at the KCOM Stadium at the weekend.

Nickson may have been running the rule over sought after midfielder David Brooks, who has also been subject of interest from Crystal Palace and is represented by the same agency that the Magpies use regularly for deals.
