Premier League club threatening to hijack Newcastle United’s deadline day bid – talkSPORT

According to talkSPORT, Wolves are considering a late loan bid for Hamza Choudhury.

The Leicester City midfielder has been a long term target of Steve Bruce’s and has been heavily linked with a deadline day move to St James’ Park.

Sky Sports claim that we remain in talks with the Foxes and are discussing how his wages would be divided in the event of a loan deal, however talkSPORT’s Alex Crook reports that he’s also on Bruno Lage’s radar now a proposed move for Renato Sanches looks increasingly unlikely.

Here’s what he’s had to say, suggesting we could face late competition for the 23-year-old:

Paying his wages in full for the 2021/22 season shouldn’t be a problem, yet it’s being reported this afternoon that this is one of the issues holding up his proposed move to Tyneside.

Considering we’ve cut the wage bill considerably over the past six months, moving on the likes of Carroll, Muto, Atsu, Saivet and Lejeune, there should be no excuses from our end on this front.

It’s believed the former England U21 talent trained at Leicester’s Seagrave base earlier today, so things may have to move quickly if he’s to sign on the dotted line at St James’ Park before 11pm tonight.
