Player REJECTS Newcastle United move after deadline day loan bid – Report

One player who won’t be signing for Newcastle United before tonight’s 11pm deadline is Boubacar Kamara.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to Tyneside, with RMC Sport reporting that we submitted a late loan bid for the Marseille star this afternoon, however the same outlet claim he’s now REJECTED our offer.

The bid was believed to be an initial loan, worth €2.5m, which included an option to buy the 21-year-old for €15m next summer.

That said, it’s emerged in the last few moments that the player has no interest in swapping the South of France for St James’ Park.

The Athletic are now reporting that Wolves are attempting to sign Kamara before tonight’s 11pm deadline, although that move has been described as ‘very unlikely’ in the last few moments by chief reporter David Ornstein.

He could’ve been an ideal signing for Steve Bruce, being able to operate as a centre-back or holding midfielder, however it’s no real surprise that he’s not sold on a move to Newcastle.

With the window set to slam shut in less than three hours time, let’s hope we have some other irons in the fire…
