If there’s one Newcastle United player I’ve felt sorry for over the past year it’s Jamal Lewis.
Since arriving from Norwich in a deal worth £15m, he’s looked a shadow of the player that burst onto the scene at Carrow Road and very nearly sealed a move to Liverpool.
After no starts all season under Steve Bruce, he’s been on international duty this weekend, starting in Northern Ireland’s European qualifier against Switzerland on Saturday night.
Sadly, it’s been another evening to forget for the 23-year-old, with him sent off for a second bookable ‘offence’ in the 36th minute….for taking too long over a throw in!
An absolutely ridiculous decision from the referee and one that left the Toon full-back absolutely baffled.
Watch the baffling moment below:
He can’t catch a break right now, but we’ll have to hope he can get back to his best and show Newcastle fans what he’s really capable of when a new manager arrives at St James’ Park.
If there’s one NUFC player who needs a fresh face in the dugout to get his career back on track, it’s him!
