Premier League striker could join NUFC on a ‘free’ next summer & midfielder linked – Reports

Alexandre Lacazette and Aaron Ramsey are the latest big name players to be linked with a move to Newcastle United.

The rumour mill has been rife with suggestions since the completion of our £300million Saudi-backed takeover, which saw Newcastle become the richest club in world football.

Stellar names such as Phillipe Coutinho, Kalidou Koulibaly and Anthony Martial have all been linked to our club, with supporters jokingly talking up moves for superstars Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

Now, Spanish outlet Fichajes claim Arsenal striker Lacazette could be on the move to Tyneside as his contract expires at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has fallen out of favour at The Emirates and would be joining a side he was linked to back in 2014 during the “French Revolution” era under Alan Pardew.

Elsewhere, Italy-based journalist Ekrem Konur is reporting that Newcastle are in the hunt for out of favour Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey, and he has even gone as far to say we have offered him a three-year contract.

The Welshman is on astronomical wages in Turin but has made just three appearances for the Italian giants so far this season.

He is rumoured to be fancying a return to England and he would fit the calibre of player the new consortium are looking to sign.

That said, it may be best to take these rumours with a pinch of salt for now – especially when Bruce’s eventual replacement and any incoming director of football will have ideas of their own!

  1. He was linked to Newcastle back in 2014 when he was a quality player.

Too many has-beens being linked for my liking.
