According to new reports, Newcastle United are showing interest in Niklas Sule and Timo Werner.
We’ve seen Italian outlets tip us to sign Federico Chiesa and Spanish press link us with a January move for Phillipe Coutinho, however it’s now Germany’s turn in this transfer merry-go-round which began ever since last Thursday’s Saudi-backed takeover went through.
German outlet BILD report that we’re showing interest in Niklas Sule – the 6ft 5′ Bayern Munich centre-back who looks set to be available on a free transfer next summer, as things stand.
As for Timo Werner, they claim that the hit and miss Chelsea forward shares the same agent as Newcastle United defender Fabian Schar and has already received contact from the club.
Here’s what Christian Falk – the head of football at BILD – has had to say on both:
Can we really get drawn into transfer rumours when the club are yet to replace Steve Bruce, appoint a much needed Sporting Director and replace Lee Charnley with a much more competent Managing Director? I’m not so sure.
They will be looking for value in a bid to work within Financial Fair Play rules – meaning Sule could well be considered if he’s a free agent next summer – but you’d think any new manager or DoF will have their own ideas by then.
For now, we just need Steve Bruce out, a win on Sunday and the right appointments made from top to bottom before we consider who we might sign in the next two transfer windows.
It would be nice to build something unique – with players and Manager
It’s always been great when unknown player’s come in and make names for themselves = ASM, CISSE, Robert,
Not the big names that have just come in their final years to make £ and don’t give anything
RE: Manager
And Rodgers from Leicester – he’ll be looking around for a new project at the end of the season When he doesn’t break into the top 4
Go with Lampard = see how he develops and IF it’s not perfect let’s get the Proven top top manager in
