Lee Ryder claims two big name players could be offered NUFC’s way after Saudi takeover

Lorenzo Insigne and John Stones are the latest high profile names who could be offered to the new-look Newcastle United, according to The Chronicle.

Toon fans have been overwhelmed the past week with links to players who, this time last week, we could never have even dreamed of signing.

Lee Ryder, The Chronicle’s chief writer, claims Newcastle could be in the hunt for Italian forward Insigne when his contract expires at the end of the season, with a Serie A expert telling the paper that he’ll be offered our way.

The report claims the Napoli winger is currently earning £74,000 a week – a wage the PIF could easily double now they’ve made us the richest club on the planet.

Signings world class players on free agents could be a smart tactic from our new owners next summer, with us looking to improve the side while operating within Financial Fair Play rules.

As for Stones, the Man City defender was one of the best performers under Pep Guardiola last season, but has found first-team football hard to come by this campaign and hasn’t played a single minute of Premier League football.

Gareth Southgate has stayed loyal and kept him in the England side and he scored the equaliser in the Three Lion’s 1-1 with Hungary.

However, if his international spot were to become under threat he could easily be on the move, with Ryder claiming that a high-profile loan deal could even be on offer if things don’t change.

  1. What NUFC can do before the end of this season ,is to ensure there is no relegation involved, then gradually with a lot of care build the best or one of the best sides in Europe.
And not run headlong into buying players who will be sold right away, but only invest in the best. However we all need a long term manager, a
guy like Liverpools or Citeh’s present managers, not just someone who may jump because he doesn’t get what he wants, being its gonna be a while before we rebuild and become successful, and staying there is not an easy task, So he must organize the youth system renew the stadium
and rebuild the training facilities, of course with help from the multitudes we will be hiring.
but the club must walk before we run as it’s no easy task, ask the Citeh guys.
