Eddie Howe not impressed by three things he saw when watching Steve Bruce’s NUFC – Report

The Mail have revealed some interesting details from Eddie Howe’s NUFC interview, where he’s believed to have shared his view on our struggles under Steve Bruce.

According to Craig Hope’s piece, Howe flagged up the need to improve the players fitness levels and tackle the lack of organisation on display this season – highlighted by the fact only Norwich (25) have conceded more than us (25) so far this season.

The report also claims that Howe insisted that current squad is performing ‘way below its capabilities’, suggesting our former manager was failing to get the best out of the current crop of players.

It’s thought Howe is also ‘happy’ to work alongside current interim boss Graeme Jones. He is someone incoming coaches Jason Tindall, Simon Weatherstone and Stephen Purches all know from their time together on the South Coast.

Last night, Fabrizio Romano stated that the delay in announcing Howe on Friday was due to a minor issue that needed to be fixed involving one of his staff members, however Craig Hope insists everything is on track for completion at some point on Saturday.

  1. In a nutshell :-
Bruce wasn’t working his players hard enough…too many days off!
Bruce wasn’t coaching them properly…disorganised in most areas!
Bruce was unable to motivate the team… team not playing to its potential!
It’s what we have been saying and what has been obvious for ages… easy times over!
Eddy Howe I, love you already! ❤️
These players get paid a fortune, the least the fans deserve is professionalism from them.

  2. To be honest, I think Howe’s observations are 100% correct and should be expected. A large portion of the current players were seen to play consistently better under Rafa, so getting them back to that level should be possible with the right manager, hopefully that’s Howe. The problem will be if any of the players have gotten used to an easy ride and aren’t willing to step up to apply themselves properly.

  3. So what’s wrong with this statement?
“…..highlighted by the fact only Norwich (25) have conceded more than us (25) so far this season.”

  4. We have to give Howe the best possible chance of doing his job and NUFC staying in the Premiership!

    1) Jones has to go & now – it’s been Jones that’s masterminded this current shambles!

    2) send Fraser out on loan ASAP = doesn’t add anything on the pitch and off it he’s a bad apple!

What evidence do you have of Fraser being a bad apple ? Stop making **** up, the blog make enough up of it of their own without you adding to it !

  6. What would you expect him to say, he can hardly say the players are playing to their capabilities otherwise he would be saying I can’t improve them and same applies to the other statements.

  7. I hope Wor Eddie comes in with a clean brush, all the players need a rocket up their ****. At least 2 thirds of them can go and play at lower league and let’s totally get being the new regime and be prepared for a bumpy ride.
