The 43-second clip that will excite NUFC fans as Howe reveals style of play he plans to deliver

Eddie Howe has promised an “attacking, fast, dynamic” style of play at St James’ Park so long as he is Newcastle manager.

In his first interview with the club’s official media channel, the former Bournemouth boss said he will look to “win games, not wait for the opponent to impose themselves on us” – a far cry from what Toon fans have come to expect in recent years.

Many Newcastle fans believe an identity to the team’s playing style should be top of the agenda, with Howe’s previous sides on the South Coast reknowned for their offensive patterns of play.

Our new boss boldly stated that being on the front foot is “the only way he knows”, a familiar tone to that of a certain Kevin Keegan back in the early 1990s.

Here’s the brilliant clip itself:

A plan to create chances and score goals could help rejuvenate a subdued St James’ Park crowd that has been fairly quiet in recent years, no thanks to the defensive dross we have also had to endure.

His words are brave, especially considering we sit 19th in the table and without a win all season. But, you can’t help but be excited by them as we look to kickstart the campaign and drag ourselves towards Premier League safety.

Hopefully we see early signs of improvement when Brentford come to town next weekend!
