Toon trio set to miss crucial Norwich clash if they pick up a yellow card at Arsenal on Saturday

Three Newcastle United stars will need to be on their best behaviour during Saturday’s clash with Arsenal.

Callum Wilson, Matt Ritchie and Jamaal Lascelles are all on FOUR bookings for the season, meaning they are just one away from a ban.

Should any of them receive a yellow card in this weekend’s early kick off at The Emirates, they will be forced to sit out next Tuesday’s crucial clash with Norwich City at St James’ Park.

In truth, we could probably manage without one of Jamaal Lascelles or Matt Ritchie – two players who haven’t been in particularly good form this season – however it could be a huge blow to lose our top scorer.

Many believe back-to-back home games against Norwich and Burnley next week are must win matches for the club, so Eddie Howe will be hoping Wilson escapes going into the referees book over the next week.

That said, with the Premier League’s 5-booking rule not expiring until December 31st, it’s highly likely that some, if not all, of these three face a one-game ban between now and the new year.

Elsewhere, Isaac Hayden is currently on three yellow cards, with the likes of Clark, Schar, Shelvey, Saint-Maximin and Joelinton on two.
